Our marital coaching process with Kerry & Pam

Kerry and Pam have been married for 28yrs. and have two children. Their daughter Kate is 21 and getting married in a year and their son Cam is 11 and keeps them on their toes with homework and baseball games. They have been involved in marriage seminars and workshops and participated in premarital counseling and marriage coaching for the last 15yrs. In a society where 1 in every 2 marriages ends in divorce, they operate with hope for those who will roll up their sleeves and partner with them and fight for the investment in the covenant of marriage. A common theme in their coaching experience is the “unpacked bags theory...” most couples put their relationship on “cruise control“ at times or for long periods of time and instead of being honest about hurts and disappointments, they simply stuff those feelings inside. They continue to do this over and over again until they are operating like business partners instead of friends and lovers. They show up for counseling each carrying giant bags stuffed with misunder-standings, anger, confusion, pain and are ready to find a new partner. Its just too much trouble to deal with this one. Kerry and Pam see their gifting as ones who like a “coach,” encourage the team and start helping unpack the bags. Their disarming humor and genuine love, along with spiritual insight, has allowed them to come along side of people who are motivated for change. They are transplanted Texans who happily reside in a small coastal community in New England. Although involved in their community, church and family they have “coached” many couples throughout the country..
